Origin Story

If you'd told the younger me that one day I'd be sitting at a workbench in Cheshire, handcrafting one-of-a-kind jewellery for people all over the world, I probably wouldn't have believed you.

My life has taken me across two continents, through business ownership, property, family life, personal challenges, and more fresh starts than I can count.

One moment, however, changed everything.

In 1984, while living in South Africa and waiting for my work visa to be approved, I met a neighbour called Illean. She introduced me to macramé, patiently teaching me a skill that would stay with me for the rest of my life. What she really gave me wasn't just a craft—it was confidence, purpose and the belief that one person's kindness can change another person's future.

That simple act never left me.

Over the following decades, I built businesses, raised a family, returned to the UK, invested in property, and continued creating whenever life allowed.

In 2006, I founded Zebredellas®.

Not to build a jewellery empire, but to create something genuine.

Every piece I make is unique because I believe people are too. No two jewellery items are ever identical, just as no two lives follow the same path.

Today, every bracelet is still designed and handcrafted by me in Cheshire as a proud member of Made in Britain.

More than anything, though, Zebredellas is about remembering your worth.

Not because of what you own.
Not because of what you've achieved.
Simply because you are you.

Today every Zebredellas® Jewellery item  is individually created by me using carefully selected natural gemstones and quality materials. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, because neither are the people who wear them.

I don't create jewellery to follow fashion. I create jewellery that celebrates individuality. Pieces that become part of your everyday life. Pieces that mark milestones, remind you of special moments, become treasured gifts, and perhaps one day are passed on to someone you love. Zebredellas® is proudly Handmade in Britain and a member of Made in Britain, but its heart will always carry the kindness, creativity and sense of possibility that began with a neighbour who took the time to teach a young woman a new skill over forty years ago. Every jewellery item I make is my way of passing that kindness forward.
