What is Zebredellas®?

Zebredellas® is an independent British jewellery brand founded by designer and maker Karen Cronje. Each piece is thoughtfully designed for people who value individuality, craftsmanship and jewellery that feels personal rather than mass-produced.

Where is Zebredellas® jewellery made?

Zebredellas® jewellery is designed and handcrafted by Karen in Cheshire East, England. We are proud members of Made in Britain, celebrating authentic British craftsmanship and small-scale production.

Is every Zebredellas® piece handmade?

Yes. Each design is assembled, threaded, knotted and finished by hand. Specialist beads, gemstones, clasps and other components are carefully sourced, but the finished jewellery is created individually in the Zebredellas® workshop.

Is every piece of jewellery unique?

Many Zebredellas® pieces are completely one of a kind, while others are produced in very limited numbers. Natural gemstones vary in colour, pattern and markings, so even similar designs will never be precisely identical.

What materials do you use?

Our jewellery may include natural gemstones, marble, porcelain, ceramic, crystal, glass, shell, pearls, resin, stainless steel and gold-, silver- or gunmetal-toned details. We also use carefully selected waxed cords and crystal-strengthened elastic. The materials used are listed on each product page.

Are all the beads natural gemstones?

Many designs feature natural precious and semi-precious gemstones, but some also include porcelain, crystal, glass, resin, marble, shell or decorative metal beads. Each product description explains the materials used, so you always know what you are purchasing.

Why do natural gemstone beads vary?

Natural variations are part of the beauty of gemstone jewellery. Colours, patterns, markings and small differences in shape occur naturally, making your jewellery as individual as a fingerprint.

Is your jewellery suitable for vegans?

Many of our waxed-cord and gemstone designs are suitable for customers looking for vegan-friendly jewellery. However, some pieces contain shell or pearls. Please check the individual product description or contact us before ordering.

Is Zebredellas® jewellery made for women or men?

Our jewellery is designed to be enjoyed by anyone. Many pieces are gender-neutral, and customers are encouraged to choose according to their personal style, preferred colours and wrist size rather than a gender label.

Is my jewellery supplied with proof of authenticity?

Zebredellas® jewellery is presented in branded packaging and includes its own authenticity details. All pieces also carry a numbered holographic authenticity label.

Bracelet Sizes and Fit

How do I measure my wrist for a bracelet?

Wrap a soft measuring tape comfortably around your wrist at the point where you will wear the bracelet. Do not add extra centimetres—we will make the appropriate allowance according to the bracelet style. If you do not have a measuring tape, use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.

What size are your adjustable macramé bracelets?

Most Zebredellas® macramé bracelets adjust to fit wrists of approximately 15–22 cm, depending on the design. Please check the measurements shown on the individual product page.

How do I choose the correct elastic bracelet size?

For an elastic bracelet, measure your wrist closely without pulling the tape too tightly. Send us the exact measurement and we will add the correct allowance to create a comfortable fit.

Can you make bracelets for smaller or larger wrists?

Yes. Many designs can be adapted or made to measure. Please contact us before ordering so we can confirm that your chosen beads and design will work comfortably for your wrist size.

How should a gemstone bracelet fit?

This depends on personal preference. Some customers prefer a close fit, while others like their bracelets to move more freely. If you tell us your exact wrist measurement and preferred fit—close, comfortable or loose—we can advise you.

Can Zebredellas® bracelets be stacked together?

Absolutely. Our collections are designed to work individually or as bracelet stacks. Mixing different gemstones, textures, bead sizes and metal tones allows you to create a combination that is entirely your own.

Bespoke and Personalised Jewellery

Can I change the beads or colours in a design?

Where materials are available, we can often change gemstones, decorative beads or thread colours to suit you. Because every design is carefully balanced, Karen will advise whether the requested changes will work successfully.

Can you create a completely bespoke bracelet?

Yes. Bespoke jewellery can be created around your preferred colours, materials, style, wrist size or occasion. Contact Karen with your ideas and she will help you develop a design that feels personal to you.

Can you recreate a sold one-of-a-kind design?

We may be able to create something inspired by a previously sold piece, but natural gemstone variations and limited-edition beads mean it may not be exactly the same. Your new design will have its own individual character.

Do you create personalised jewellery for weddings and special occasions?

Yes. Zebredellas® can create coordinated jewellery for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, bridal parties and other celebrations. Every set can be adapted to your colour scheme, requirements and budget.

How long does bespoke jewellery take to make?

Times vary depending on the design, availability of materials and number of pieces required. Once we understand what you would like, we will give you an estimated completion date before work begins.

Can I request a particular gemstone?

Yes, subject to availability. You can choose a gemstone because you love its colour, pattern, cultural association or personal significance. Karen can also suggest combinations that complement one another visually.

Gemstone Meanings

Do gemstones have healing properties?

Gemstones have been connected with traditional meanings, symbolism and cultural beliefs for centuries. However, Zebredellas® does not make medical or healing claims. Our gemstones are chosen for their natural beauty, colour, character and personal significance and should never replace professional medical advice or treatment.

Can I choose jewellery by gemstone meaning?

Yes. Some customers choose gemstones because of their traditional associations, while others simply fall in love with a colour or pattern. There is no right or wrong way to choose—your jewellery should mean something to you.

Strength, Care and Repairs

How strong is the cord used in your macramé bracelets?

We use high-quality waxed cord selected for its strength, flexibility and suitability for traditional cobra-knot macramé. Each bracelet is carefully knotted and finished by hand for everyday wear.

How strong are your elastic bracelets?

Our stretch bracelets are made using crystal-strengthened elastic and secured with multiple knots. They are designed to be both comfortable and durable, although all jewellery materials can naturally require attention after extended wear.

How should I care for my Zebredellas® jewellery?

When your jewellery is taking a well-earned rest, tuck it into its satin pouch. The pouch provides a comfortable place to store it and can also be used to give the beads a gentle wipe whenever they need a little pick-me-up.

Your jewellery is made to be worn, loved and included in everyday life. A little care from time to time will help it continue looking its best for years to come.

Can I wear my jewellery every day?

Yes. Zebredellas® jewellery is created to become part of your life—whether you are making memories, travelling, celebrating or simply popping to the shops. Wear it often and enjoy it as part of your personal story.

Do you offer jewellery repairs or rethreading?

Yes. Zebredellas® offers a full repair and rethreading service. We can replace worn cord or elastic and, where possible, replenish missing or damaged beads. We believe treasured beads deserve to be renewed rather than discarded.

Can an old bracelet be redesigned?

Often, yes. Depending on the condition of the beads, we may be able to rethread, resize or redesign your Zebredellas® bracelet. Contact us with a photograph and a brief explanation of what you would like changed.

What should I do if my bracelet becomes damaged?

Please stop wearing it and keep every bead or component you can find. Send us a photograph and your original order details so we can assess whether it can be repaired or rethreaded.

Orders, Packaging and Gifts

Does my jewellery arrive in gift packaging?

Yes. Zebredellas® jewellery arrives in a satin pouch, ready to present as a gift or use for safe storage.

Can you send jewellery directly to someone as a gift?

Yes. We can send your order directly to the recipient and include a personal message. Add the recipient’s address and your message during checkout, or contact us immediately after ordering.

Can I order a last-minute gift?

Please contact us before ordering if you have a specific deadline. If the piece is already made, we will let you know whether it can be dispatched in time. Bespoke designs may require additional preparation time.

Can I include a personal message?

Yes. A short personal message can be included with your gift at no additional cost. Please provide the wording when placing your order.

What payment methods do you accept?

The secure payment methods currently available will be shown at checkout. Zebredellas® does not receive or retain your complete card details.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us as quickly as possible. If work has not begun on a bespoke order—or a ready-made order has not already been dispatched—we will do our best to help.

Delivery and International Orders

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Ready-made jewellery is dispatched as promptly as possible. Bespoke or made-to-measure orders require additional preparation time. Any estimated processing or dispatch time will be shown with the product or confirmed after ordering.

Do you deliver throughout the UK?

Yes. Zebredellas® delivers to addresses throughout the United Kingdom. Available delivery services and charges are displayed during checkout.

Do you ship jewellery internationally?

International delivery may be available to selected countries. Enter your address at checkout to see the available options, or contact us if your country is not listed.

Will I have to pay customs charges or import duties?

Orders sent outside the UK may be subject to local customs duties, import taxes or handling charges. These are normally determined by the destination country and are the buyer’s responsibility unless your order specifically states that charges have been prepaid.

How much does jewellery delivery cost?

Delivery costs depend on the destination and service selected. The full charge will be displayed before you complete your purchase, so there are no unexpected delivery costs from Zebredellas®.

Can I track my order?

Tracking information will be provided when a tracked delivery service is used. Please allow time for the carrier’s system to update after the parcel has been dispatched.

What should I do if my parcel arrives damaged?

Please photograph the parcel, packaging and jewellery as soon as possible and contact us with your order number. Keep all packaging while we investigate and arrange the appropriate solution.

Prices, Returns and Customer Service

Why does handmade jewellery vary in price?

The price reflects the gemstones and components used, the complexity of the design and the time required to make it. Some rare beads, intricate macramé patterns and one-of-a-kind combinations take considerably longer to source and create.

Why does Zebredellas® jewellery offer such good value?

You are purchasing directly from the designer and maker rather than through several layers of distributors and retailers. This allows us to offer carefully handcrafted British jewellery at fair prices without compromising the individuality of the design.

What is your returns and refunds policy?

For standard items purchased online, you can normally tell us within 14 days of receiving your order that you wish to cancel and then have a further 14 days to return it. Items must be returned following the instructions in our Returns and Refunds Policy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected if an item is faulty or not as described. Can I return personalised or bespoke jewellery?

Personalised, made-to-measure and custom-made items are generally excluded from change-of-mind returns unless they are faulty or not as described. Please check all measurements and agreed design details carefully before confirming your order.

What if I order the wrong bracelet size?

Contact us and we will explain the available options. Depending on the design, the bracelet may be resized or rethreaded. A charge may apply where the original measurements supplied were incorrect.

Can shops stock or resell Zebredellas® jewellery?

Yes. We welcome enquiries from independent retailers, boutiques and suitable online stores. Please contact us with your business name, website or social media details and the type of jewellery you are interested in stocking.

Do you accept collaborations or special projects?

We are happy to consider appropriate retail, creative and event collaborations that fit the Zebredellas® brand. Please send a brief description of your idea, proposed timescale and what you would like us to provide.
